"Leonard & Canonici Duo"

Sarah Leonard - soprano; Corrado Canonici - double bass.
Their repertoire encompasses a large number of works by internationally renown new music composers, of very different styles, as well as young emerging composers.
Concerts by Leonard and Canonici feature both duos and solo pieces by, amongst others, Cage, Dusapin, Dillon, Ferneyhough, Clementi, Lachenmann, Wiegold, Kurtag, Knussen, Xenakis, Berio.
Highlight: "Christoph Lichtenbergs Fragments op 37a for soprano and double bass”, by Gyorgy Kurtag.

 

"Duplexus"

"Duplexus" is a duo whose goal is to play new music and make new music accessible to both classical and jazz audiences. "Duplexus" utilizing techniques from jazz, classical and world music has created a soundscape that is totally original, passionate and unique.
